Rules

  1. 'Run for the Future' is for men, women and children from home or business, entering as individuals, families, or teams.
  2. By taking part, all participants confirm that they are happy for their names and any footage or photographs taken during their participation in the 'Run for the Future' to be used to publicise any future events.
  3. All participants must write their names and details of any health problems and an emergency contact number on the reverse of their run number, which must be worn on the front of shirts during the run.
  4. In the case of emergency, the organisers may use the details provided by you to contact your home or office.
  5. Any participant unsure of their physical ability to take part in the 'Run for the Future' should seek medical advice prior to the event.
  6. All participants take part in the 'Run for the Future' entirely at their own risk and the organisers shall not be liable for any injury or loss that might occur as a result of their participation other than as a result of the organisers' negligence.
  7. The race will be run on both roads and grass. We will do all we can to enable disabled people to take part, but conditions on the Downs can vary and wheelchair users should satisfy themselves as to the suitability of the course on the day of the event.
  8. Absolutely no pets or roller skates/blades are allowed on the course. Baby strollers/prams and buggies will have problems negotiating the grass section of the course and entrants should satisfy themselves as to the suitability of the course on the day of the event. Spectators are asked to keep pets on a lead.
  9. We strongly advise that any participants under the age of 18 are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. We can take no responsibility for under 18s on the day.
  10. Any monies raised in connection with the 'Run for the Future' must be passed to the organisers as soon as possible after the event. You have a legal responsibility to pass all sponsorship monies to the organisers. Send sponsorship cheques made payable to 'Run for the Future' to Run for the Future, Bristol Urological Institute, Southmead Hospital, Bristol BS10 5NB'. Don't forget to send in your sponsorship forms so that we can claim Gift Aid.
  11. If you drop out before packs have been issued, money you have sent us cannot be refunded to you and will be donated to the charity.

  14. If your Run registration pack doesn't reach you before the day of the event, or it is not available for you to collect on event day, then you are entitled to a refund.
  15. Refunds and exchanges can only be offered on goods returned in their original condition within 10 days of delivery.
